I knew about this from sakuraina

For avid downloaders, I'm sure you have come across or even used Megaupload. It is a famous file hosting site, even though I always prefer not to use this. I prefer using Mediafire, since it is supported by my Download Accelerator and I can download in parts.

But many uploaders prefer MU, because of its greater file capacity. Mediafire has a limit of 200 MB per file, so uploaders have to split large files into smaller ones and upload them separately. Obviously this takes extra work.

But non-MU members get very limited downloads and it's quite slow and isn't supported by my Download Accelerator.

So right now, I'm considering getting a MU premium membership.

There are lots of additional priviledges by being a premium member. But as you can see also in the above link, it's not free.

Here is what I'm proposing. No one said that a membership can only be owned by one person. We can share a membership in a group. So instead of paying $59.99 ourselves, we split the cost and then share the membership. Since we get unlimited downloads, it doesn't matter how much each member uses. We all get the same benefit.

I have to admit, it's a great idea =D

I'm looking for hardcore downloaders who is willing to share the cost with me. I have Paypal, so I can do the collecting and paying. I haven't decided which membership I'm aiming for yet. It depends on how many people wants to share the membership. Once we know how many people wants to share, we can vote on what membership we want, and then do some calculations to know how much each member has to pay.

Once that has been decided and everyone agrees (on the payment, username and password), the person-in-charge (me? xD) will SMS everyone about how to pay him/her. Once he/she has collected the money, he/she will send Megaupload the payment via Paypal or Credit Card. Then Megaupload will send the confirmation details to him/her, who will have the responsibility of sending the information to the other members.

Anyone interested? Please leave a comment! The more people we have, the less each person has to pay! If you're a hardcore downloader, this is a small yet good investment xD. Think about it. This is our final semester. What do we do in our free time? Download. What do we do during holidays? Download. I used to frown whenever the uploader only gives MU, without any other mirror links. If I have this, no more worries! =D

I haven't updated in ages! D:

There has been lots of random stuff happening, but I guess I'll mention a few things.

1. DBSK Fan Gathering


A nice break from all the stuff that has been happening lately. I had lots of really good laughs when watching AADBSK3. I was also reminded how I love them so much! I swear I had a momentary brain-freeze when I was about to say who my favourite member. For some reason declaring my love for Jaejoong in front of other fans (after not doing so for so long) gave me a weird feeling. It was weird. I remember sitting in front of my meal after the organisor's welcoming speech and wondering, "why am I feeling strange?". Then I realised that we haven't "buka majlis" yet. Of course, more than a year in UIA has made me so used to starting everything with Al-Fatihah that when I don't, I'd feel weird. My friends and I quickly recited Ummul Kitab by ourselves. Unfortunately, we forgot to "tutup majlis" together afterwards. I only remembered once I got back to my mahallah.

So how was the gathering? Well, I don't have much to say. It was a casual gathering after all, where we just sit back, eat and enjoy the show. I'm glad I haven't watched my AADBSK3 yet, or else it wouldn't be as fun. I really needed those laughs. I miss seeing all five of them together! They also showed us clips of the Flash Mob, which I avoided watching before. Haha! I salute that guy-who-dressed-like-Jaejoong! He even did his hair like Jaejoong's! From afar, it really looked like (a slightly thinner) Jaejoong was dancing in front of Suria KLCC! HAHA! XDDD I've always thought the Mirotic dance is hard to pull off, but the guys did it very well. Thumbs up!

I'm surprised that Kak Iera remembers me. We've only met three times, and those were last year, before I enrolled into UIA! =O And I now wear spectacles, so I must have looked so much older. xD;; Excellent memory, as expected from someone who is amazing at public relations and event management. You have to have extremely good interpersonal skills. When she said "Lama tak jumpa!" omg, it felt good T____T. That is how you make people like you.

Nothing much happened. I didn't finish my meal. I've already eaten Nasi Ayam before I went, so I didn't finish the rice. The food isn't amazing. Is that how Korean food supposed to taste like? The Iced Lemon Tea was the most sour Iced Lemon Tea I've ever tasted. I don't like masam sangat >__<

I felt weird. Lol, how many times have I said that? I think next time I'll make my own mini-gathering. Nak tak? I'll bring my AADBSK3 and watch it on the biggest laptop we can find. Let's watch it and laugh together! Ha, sakuraina, sanggup tak korbankan bilik sendiri untuk tengok AADBSK3? Once I get my Secret Code DVD, we can watch that too. Or anything I have from my collection. =D Nanti we fangirl ramai-ramai. After mid-sems xD LOL, jadi pawagam la bilik you. (My room cannot, kesian my roommate). Or anyone who wants to contribute, let's do something!


2. Writing


Not much to say about this. Just know that I've managed to stick my own promise and wrote 15k words in 15 days. My own advice worked =)


3. Pizza


I bought pizzas using my debit card two days ago! Haha! xD The delivery guy said "Ni mak punye ke?" He doesn't believe a uni student can have a card?


4. Medcy Yearbook


I've been so busy, I'm so behind on my magazine work! I'm still collection stories/poetries/draws for Medcy's Yearbook. We'll have a creative section where we will publish the written/artistic works of Medcy students. The dealine is 30 Nov, but I'm thinking of extending it until mid-sem holidays. Please submit your works to me! We really need lots of them. We accept anything in English or Arabic. Grab this opportunity to get published and win prizes!! Now before you get you pants in a spin (lol, I totally made that up 3 seconds ago), nope, DBSK are not coming over the Malaysia and we will not be granted the honour of breathing their air, because God knows they have their own problems shoved into their lockers, so they're cancelling their China concerts and now nobody knows what's going to happen and frankly I don't want to know what's happening until it's confirmed and 100 % sure. Yes, I know I'm not making any sense but that's not important because I'm not posting this to angst about the potential demise of a boyband.

WHO WANTS TO GO WITH ME?


I've already signed up, but I don't have someone to go with yet. I haven't been going to fan gatherings since last year! So I really want to go to this one. At times like this, it is important to keep the faith and get together with other fans to strengthen this faith. I need to unwind anyway. God knows I need to "release tension" :/

You don't have to be a member of the forum to join. I can sign you up for you. The fee is for the food (KOREAN FOOD BB!) and you'll get to watch AADBSKIII with other fans, which I'm sure will be more enjoyable than watching it by yourself. I haven't unwrapped my AADBSKIII for this reason --I don't have anyone to watch it with.

Yup, that's Arase Monji, Arase-sensei, the anaesthetist from Iryu: Team Medical Dragon. I tried googling for his pictures but I didn't get the picture that I wanted. This is the best I could find. I fail at screen-capping because I'm used to using the 'Grab' application on Mac that I haven't found its equivalent for Windows XP(help needed plz).

Anyway, while I was minding my own business looking for new Korean songs, I stumbled upon a new Korean boyband, BEAST. And let me tell you, one of the members reminded me so much of Arase-sensei that I just have to share it with everyone.

I think we now have the answer to "What Arase-sensei would have looked like when he was still a freshman in med school".

I'm facing a bad writer's block atm. In a desperate attempt to quell my mindblock, I tried something. I put my iTunes on Shuffle and try to write about whatever comes to my mind when I hear a song. When the song ends, I must stop working on that and do the same on the next song. Something like that.

As you'll see later, I failed. Mostly I just re-write the English lyrics I hear, ala some kind of a Listening Test >__> There are one or two where I actually wrote something, but gah, I'm disappointed in myself.

SHINee has released their latest Music Video, Ring Ding Dong. I think the song is catchy and okay, but I'm not talking about that. This is my review on the music video.

I have no idea why I feel a great urge to write a review on this. I think it's because whenever I watch this video, a lot of things buzz in my head, encouraging me to make comments on everything that happens in the video. I've never done this before, so let's give it a shot, no?

After three years, it's finally out! My second anthology! (Well it's not really mine but I'm in it somewhere and I deserve a pat in the back because it's my second time at the age of 16, k?)

History time. Back in 2006, I joined MPH Essay Writing Competition for the second time, having been shortlisted the previous year. By Allah's Will, I got shortlisted again. I might have been complacent with that, but I was blessed that day, because I got into the Top 8 and won the Consolation Prize. I didn't get the Top 3, but I was already happy to be on stage and to accept my prize from Adibah Amin! (Yes, the Adibah Amin, whose books taught me Malay when I was in schooool!! - I even said "I'm your fan" when I shook hands with her. xD)

Anyway, the entries that got shortlisted were complied and published into an anthology. I have no idea why this one took so long to be published, but it's finally out. Now I can tell all my friends!

I've just found my card statement this morning. I've submitted the code and voila!, my paypal account is now verified!

As I thought, the actual billing and appearing on my bank statement did not take long. I linked my card on Saturday morning, which I believe in the US was still 9 October. The date on my statement showed 12 October. The statement arrived at my house on 19 October. So it's the bank and mail that took so long.

But I'm just happy that's over and done with. Now I can sell/shop with this new baby! =D
